Fees
Harvest Lakes Medical is a Mixed Billing Practice
Many consultations may attract a private fee. Some doctors continue to offer bulk billing for eligible patients — please check with reception if you are unsure.
As a practice, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare. For many years, we offered our services as a fully bulk-billing clinic; however, the Medicare rebate no longer covers the increasing costs of providing quality care.
To ensure we can continue to deliver the best possible healthcare and support our dedicated team, we have introduced mixed billing to maintain the sustainability of our practice.
Weekends & Public Holidays (8:00am -5:00pm): Private billing applies to all patients, including children and concession card holders.

AFTER HOURS CONSULTATIONS
These fees are for afterhours opening hours. These hours are Mon-Fri 7:00 am – 8:00 am and 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS
WEEKEND FEES – Saturday 8:00am – 1:00pm

Dr Chu is a Perth-trained medical practitioner with a strong interest in supporting patients through their medical weight loss journey.
Originally from Singapore, he immigrated to Perth in 2008 and has since built both his life and career in Western Australia. Dr Chu completed his undergraduate studies and medical degree at the University of Western Australia, equipping him with a solid academic foundation and a patient-centred approach to care. He is committed to working collaboratively with patients to provide evidence-based, practical guidance tailored to their individual health goals.
Outside of work, Dr Chu enjoys spending time with his dogs and is actively involved in competitive dog sports, reflecting his appreciation for discipline, balance, and an active lifestyle.

Dr Zaw Aung originally qualified in Myanmar before migrating to Australia, where he gained extensive experience working as a General Practitioner in the eastern states. He has since made Western Australia his home.
He has special interests in General Medicine, Chronic Disease Management, Pain Management, Skin Cancer Checks & Management, and Dermatology. Dr Aung is also an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Dr Aung consults with us on Fridays at Harvest Lakes Medical Centre.
In addition to English, he speaks Burmese, allowing him to provide care to a broader range of patients.
